MILFORD, MA — Milford police on Tuesday arrested and charged a Winchendon man, accusing him of damaging a woman's car as part of a pattern of similar crimes.

Milford police have charged Alexander Yee with destruction of property after he poured liquid into a woman's gas tank and slashed her tires at the Milford Target store, according to reports.

Police in towns across eastern Worcester County and western Middlesex County warned women drivers over the weekend to look out for a man offering help with car problems. Milford police later identified Yee as a suspect.

"In these situations, the individual may let air from a tire or add a gas tank contaminant, then approach the female to offer help in the form of a battery pack, air compressor or a ride," Holliston police said on Saturday. "As in all situations, be aware that individuals offering help may have in fact been involved in orchestrating the situation."

Yee was arrested in November and charged after he poured liquid into a woman's gas tank at a Big Y in Southampton, according to MassLive. Hadley police also looked into his involvement in a similar incident in that town.
