MILFORD, MA — Milford police on Monday afternoon were called to a neighborhood along Fiske Mill Road on a report of two hunters firing shots close to homes, according to the police log.
At around 2:30 p.m., police went to the area of 27 Fiske Mill Road near Field Pond Road on a report that two men had fired up to 12 shots in the woods. When officers arrived, they could not hear anyone shooting — but one officer reported knowing at least one of the hunters, and reported he would make contact.
The Monday shots-fired call follows a similar incident on Nov. 25. Police were called to the Milford Quarries along Shadowbrook Lane after someone called 911 after hearing about 14 shots. The shooters were gone by the time police arrived.
