MILFORD, MA — The Milford Police Department was treated to lunch, free of charge on Thursday, thanks to the Milford Federal Bank. The donation was in honor of national police week and was enough for each person in the department.

Milford Federal Bank delivered 60 boxed lunches to the department on Thursday afternoon. "It was kind of a surprise," a spokesperson for the bank said, "We had to call them a bit before to get a number of how many lunches to get."

The lunches came from Subway and this was the first time the bank donated for police week, although it's no stranger to lending a helping hand around the community. Most recently, staff from Milford Federal Bank participated in the Milford Beautification day — a town clean-up with an environmental message. "We'll be out again next week to help install flags in Draper Memorial Park," the spokesperson said.
