“The Golf Classic has been a longstanding tradition that reflects the extraordinary generosity of our community and the shared commitment to ensuring exceptional care remains close to home,” Milford Regional Medical Center President and CEO Edward J. Kelly said in a statement.

Last year, more than 90 participants and 30 volunteers helped to make the tournament's fundraising efforts a success. The event raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars to help support UMass Memorial Health – Milford Regional Medical Center.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for companies interested in supporting the event, according to the foundation.

Golf Committee Chair Joyce Gilmore said the fundraiser remains a major community tradition after more than three decades.

“The event represents an enjoyable day on the golf course, but more importantly, a meaningful opportunity to give back to Milford Regional, a cornerstone of our Milford-area community,” Gilmore said in a statement.
