Milford Seeks New Vernon Grove Cemetery Trustee

MILFORD, MA — Residents interested in helping to oversee the town cemetery can now apply for a seat on the Trustees of Vernon Grove Cemetery.

Trustee Scott Vecchiolla notified the town of his resignation from the cemetery board in December. Vecchiolla was elected to a seat on the Milford Board of Library Trustees in April 2021.

The person picked to fill Vecchiolla's seat will serve until the April 5 election. The temporary member can run for a full term in that election. Candidates who want to run for town office can begin pulling nomination papers today.

Letters of interest and resumes should be submitted to the both the Select Board and the Trustees of Vernon Grove Cemetery by Friday at 4 p.m. The two boards will meet jointly on Jan. 10 to select the new trustee.
