Milford Senior Center Singers, Thanks To Yanks, Perform At Blair House

MILFORD, MA — The Milford Senior Center Singers and Thanks To Yanks, a local charity dedicated to serving those who serve, have teamed up for a new mission. The group sang a collection of patriotic songs and American standards at Blair House in Milford.

"The goal is to bring music and friendship to those who live in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and long-term care housing," according to a statement.

There is no cost to the organization to have the singers perform and patriotic gifts are given to all who attend. Additional performances are planned locally for May and June.

Thanks To Yanks, is a non-political 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support military members, veterans and their families. Founded in 2006, the nonprofit began as an annual tribute dinner to recognize the sacrifices military families endured and to honor the victims and rescue personnel in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
