Milford Superintendent Named to United Way of Tri-County Board of Directors

Dr. Robert A. Tremblay will join the group that serves 34 communities.

Dr. Robert A. Tremblay, Superintendent of the Milford Public Schools, was appointed to the Board of Directors of the United Way of Tri-County at the Regional Non-Profits’ Annual Recognition Breakfast held April 9th at the Sheraton Hotel in Framingham. More than 400 guests looked on as the slate of new Board Members was presented for approval by the Nominating Committee. Also honored at the breakfast was Milford High School senior Victoria Williams from the Milford Youth Center who won the Youth Volunteer of the Year award.

New members of the Board are appointed for two 3-year terms before they are required to roll off for at least one year. The Board of Directors approve and oversee the direction and financial transparency of the organization keeping in compliance with the By-Laws of the organization and Standards of Excellence as required by United Way World Wide.

The United Way of Tri-County was created 18 years ago through the mergers of the United Way of Assabet Valley formally headquartered in Marlborough, the United Way of Metrowest formally Headquartered in Framingham, The United Way of Neponset Valley in Norwood, the United Way of Westborough and the United Way of Greater Clinton. Currently, the organization serves 34 communities including the Greater Milford area in Norfolk, Middlesex, and Worcester Counties. For more information log on to www.uwotc.org
