Teen Charged with Making Threats Toward Milford High School

Police said the teen sent vague texts to friends warning them not to go to school while showing a knife.

Milford, MA - A 15-year-old student at Milford High School faces charges after allegedly making a vague threat and telling his friend not to attend school.

The teen was arrested early Wednesday morning, according to the Milford Public School and charged with deadly force at a school and disturbing a school assembly. The name of the teen will not be released due to his age.

Police said that the teen sent several text messages to a friend, allegedly warning the recipient of the text not to go to school, according to the Milford Daily News. He also asked a friend if he wanted to see his gun and also displayed a knife.

Police discovered the texts after they were reported by a concerned parent.

Extra police were at the high school Wednesday morning and school went on as scheduled,according to the school district.

The suspect was arraigned in Milford District Court’s juvenile session Wednesday morning.
