Get Trashy In Milford On Beautification Day
The annual litter pickup in Milford will follow Earth Day on April 22.
MILFORD, MA — The trashiest day of the year in Milford is coming up.
The seventh annual Milford Beautification Day litter pickup event will happen on April 23, the day after Earth Day 2022. During the event, residents, business owners and anyone else who wants to help will fan out across town to collect trash.
Citizens for Milford, Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail, the Milford Highway Department, the Norfolk County Sheriff and state Rep. Brian Murray — who got a $1,000 donation from Amazon — helped fund and organize the 2022 event. Essentials like trash bags, gloves, safety vests, and water will be provided free for volunteers.

"Beautification Day provides a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together and demonstrate pride in our community by cleaning the parks and streets of Milford. We invite everyone to come to help, even for just an hour or two," Beautification Day Chairperson Amie Sanborn said in a news release.
Beautification Day will run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 23, rain or shine. Volunteers will meet at Sacred Heart Church, 5 East Main St., before the event to get supplies and assignments. Questions? Email citizensformilford@gmail.com.
