Milford Woman Allegedly Steals 6 Brass Doors Off A Church
Four of the six doors were scrapped at Sims Metal Management located on Granite Street in Worcester.

MILFORD, MA—A woman is facing charges for allegedly stealing six brass doors from a church in Hopedale last week.
On Sept. 19, The Sacred Heart Church located on Hopedale Street called Hopedale police to report the theft of six Brass doors from its property. The doors were valued at approximately $3,000 each.
After a two-day investigation Detective Doyon determined that four of the six doors were scrapped at Sims Metal Management located on Granite Street in Worcester. A representative from the company remembered seeing a woman scrap four of the doors on four separate occasions.

As a result, Christina Trifiro, 39, Iadarola Ave Milford, was charged and arrested after police searched her home and found receipts from Sims Metal Management. Trifiro was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Larceny Over $250. It was also learned that the doors had not been destroyed and will be given back to the church.
The Milford Daily News reports that Trifiro has pleaded not guilty,and will be back in court on Nov. 3.
