Milford Woman Sentenced For Stealing $2.6 Million From Employer
A Milford woman was sentenced in federal court for stealing approximately $2.6 million from her employer.

Debra Mulloy, also known as Debra Depaul, was sentenced in federal court for stealing approximately $2.6 million from her employer and using the money to purchase luxury items at boutiques in Boston.
Mulloy was sentenced to 69 months in prison and three years of supervised release. She was also ordered to pay $2.6 million in restitution.
From 2004 through 2016, Mulloy was responsible for most of the financial and organizational duties at the company she worked for. Several times between April 2012 to December 2016, Mulloy used the company’s credit card account, under another employee's name, to make hundreds of unauthorized charges totaling nearly $2.4 million.

Mulloy would buy clothes, furs and jewelry at boutiques in Boston and then sell them at consignment shops. She also used company checks to pay for personal expenses including her credit card bills.
In July 2018, Mulloy pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.
