Milford's Sira Naturals Eyeing Second Facility In Town

The company is applying for a marijuana cultivator and product manufacturer license in the town.

MILFORD, MA — Milford's Sira Naturals is looking to open another facility for adult-use marijuana in the town. The company is looking for another cultivation license and a product manufacturer license.

Sira Naturals already has a cultivation facility in town, located at 13 Commercial Way. The new request has plans for a facility at 5-7 Industrial Road. The company is not asking for a retail license to open a dispensary.

A community outreach meeting will be at 7 p.m. on July 2 and open to the public to ask questions and learn more about the company. The meeting will be in room three at the Milford Town Hall, 52 Main Street.

Sira Naturals was the first businesses in Massachusetts to be awarded a license to grow adult-use cannabis in the state. The company grows marijuana at the Commerical Way facility and sends it to dispensaries in Cambridge, Needham and Somerville.

A Toronto-based cannabis acquisition firm purchased Sira Naturals and four other U.S. companies in October.
