Milford's Summer Lunch Program Is Back
The program aims to feed the 44 percent of kids in Milford who are eligible for free and reduced lunch during the school year.

MILFORD, MA — For the fourth year, the Milford Area Humanitarian Coalition (MAHC) and the Hockomock Area YMCA are partnering to operate an official USDA/MA Department of Education summer meal program in the community of Milford known as the Milford Summer Lunch Program. The program starts Monday, June 17 at Memorial Elementary School, 12 Walnut Street, and will offer a free lunch to any child, under the age of 18, and their family. Lunch will be offered every day between 11:30am and 1:00pm, Monday through Friday through August 23.
With 44% of kids in Milford eligible for free and reduced lunch during the school year, this
program was designed to help close the hunger gap that children face when summer comes.
The Milford Public Library, located at 80 Spruce Street, will also serve lunch on Tuesday, July 16 from 11:00am – 1:00pm.
