Charge Upgraded For Milford Man In Hopkinton Road Rage Killing: DA

MILFORD, MA — The Milford man who was arrested in connection to the April 4 road rage killing of Destini Decoff is now facing a murder charge, Middlesex DA Marian Ryan said Monday.

According to law enforcement, Ryan Sweatt, 36, hit Decoff, 26, also a Milford resident, after a road rage incident along Route 85 in Hopkinton. When Decoff got out of a vehicle during the confrontation, Sweatt rammed her with his car, Ryan has said. Decoff died days later at UMass Memorial in Worcester.

Sweatt was initially charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, operating to endanger and a marked lanes violation. He will be formally charged with murder on Tuesday during a court appearance at Framingham District Court.
