New Mexican Restaurant Coming to Milford
The new Mexican restaurant will be taking over the spot on South Main Street where a BBQ restaurant was.

MILFORD, MA- What once held a BBQ restaurant will be the new home of a Mexican restaurant.
Taqueria la Estrella is replacing the old Carnivores All American BBQ at 134 South Main St after the BBQ spot moved to the Hopedale Country Club in August.
One of the owners of Taqueria la Estrella, Milford resident Eusebio Ruelas, is also the owner of Acapulcos Mexican Family Restaurant and Cantina, a chain with a location on East Main Street. Selectmen approved a common victualler license at Monday night's meeting.

Suzette Ferreira, a lawyer who spoke on behalf of the owners at Monday night's selectmen meeting, said the restaurant will focus on take-out but have some indoor seating. Ferreira also mentioned that Ruelas was trying to expand his restaurant business to the other side of town.
While there's no hard opening date, Ferreira said the family intends to renovate the bathrooms first to make them handicap-accessible.
