MILFORD, MA — A Norwood developer is seeking permission from the town to build a new Walgreens store along Prospect Street, according to documents submitted to the Planning Board.

Arista Development LLC would construct a more than 10,000 square-foot store at 80 Prospect St., a vacant property that used to contain a BP gas station, mechanic and dry cleaning business. The new pharmacy would include 51 parking spaces and a drive-thru lane, according to the plans.

The development would likely mean a shuffle in commercial space along Prospect Street. There's a Walgreens located just across the street from the proposed development site at the Shaw's shopping plaza.

The Planning Board is set to discuss the Walgreens proposal at a meeting set for Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m.
