MILFORD, MA — A man was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured in Milford on Thursday evening, according to police.

Police responded after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a pedestrian struck in the area of 194 West St. at 6:29 p.m.

Police officers arrived at the scene of the accident, provided aid to the victim, and closed down the surrounding area of Route 140. Firefighters and Community EMS then arrived to treat the victim.

The victim was transported by Lifeflight to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with serious injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.

The victim was a man in his 80s, WCVB 5-ABC reported. He was reportedly not in a crosswalk when he was hit.
