Police Investigating Male That Approached Middle School Student

Police are now on the lookout for a male who approached a Middle School East student.

Milford police are now on the lookout for a male that allegedly approached a middle school student.

On Wednesday morning, a student at Milford Middle School East was approached by a male with scruffy facial hair. Police say he was wearing blue clothes and a red baseball cap. He was driving a brown, oversized pick-up truck with a yellow sign on the side.

Upon encountering the male, the student ran away and reported the incident. Police are unsure of the man’s intent and only know that he reached out for the student and did not speak.

Due to the incident, Superintendent Robert Trembley asked each of the schools to conduct assemblies yesterday to remind the students of the importance of not interacting with strangers and what to do if they are approached by a person unknown to them.

The incident remains under investigation by the Milford Police Department.
