Police Log: Change Machine Under the Bridge, Loitering, and More

April 5

7:09 a.m. - A white box truck on fire heading west on Route 109 was reported. The driver seemed to be unaware of the fire. Fire crews arrived at the scene, reporting that there was no fire but a mechanical issue that will be repaired.

3:18 p.m. - A two-car accident near Hannaford on Medway Road was reported.

5:01 p.m. - A two-car accident was reported on Cedar Street.

May 6

6:56 a.m. - A two-car accident was reported at the intersection of Medway Road and Beaver Street.

10:30 - People loitering, being rude, and handing out political material outside the post office on Congress Street was reported.

3:40 p.m. - A two-car accident was reported at the RMV on Beach Street.

6:03 p.m. - A caller discovered a safe under a bridge at Louisa Lake. An officer reported that it was a change machine, apparently one that was stolen from Pheasant Run.

6:50 p.m. - A two-car accident was reported near Granite Gulf on Cedar Street.

8:04 p.m. - A male sleeping for a few hours at Honey Dew Donuts on Prospect Street was reported. An officer was able to wake up the male, who appeared to be ok.
