Police Log: Man Charged After Trying to Steal Shoes from Kohl's

Monday, Aug. 4
At 8:22 a.m., police received a report of a small red dog inside a vehicle that had been parked in a spot at Charlie’s Mini Mart for “a long time.” Officers responded but the vehicle was gone on arrival.
At 9:37 a.m., a caller reported that a hole had been observed in the women’s bathroom at the Mobil station on Medway Road, and “thought this was very suspicious due to people nowadays placing cameras in bathrooms,” according to police reports.

At 11:38 a.m., Hopkinton police requested assistance for picking up a potential suspect in Milford.
At 12:05 p.m., police responded to the area of the Meineke Car Care Center on Beaver Street on a report of a two-car accident involving two white pickup trucks.

At 12:11 p.m., police received a report of stolen checks cashed at KMart on Medway Road.
At 12:34 p.m., police responded to Kohl’s after receiving a report from security at the store that a male party had switched his shoes in the store and tried to leave without paying for the new ones. Police arrested Michael Heron, 30, of Milford on charges of larceny of less than $250 and shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
At 1:38 p.m., police responded back to Kohl’s on a report that a female was in custody for shoplifting. Officers arrested Rowen Flynn, 18, of Ashland on charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
At 4:43 p.m., a caller reported that a truck in front of him had been breaking too often and thought the truck driver was attempting to cause an accident with him on purpose. Officers advised the caller to pull to the side of the road to avoid an accident but would not do so, according to reports.
At 4:45 p.m., a caller reported illegal dumping in the area of Cedar Street.
At 5:08 p.m., a caller reported two males were in the area of Purchase Street trying to sell vinyl siding. Officers responded and the parties checked out okay, according to police records.
At 6:42 p.m., a caller reported that a man in a gray Nissan pulled up to her son during the day and may have filmed or photographed him and other houses in the area between 10 a.m. and noon. The woman told police if the driver returned she would contact them.
At 7:28 p.m., a caller reported a one-vehicle accident in the area of Sumner Street and Chester Lane.
