Missing Bellingham Boy, 13, Found Safe

BELLINGHAM, MA — A 13-year-old from Bellingham reported missing on Wednesday evening has been found, according to local police.

According to police, Asher Mahoney, 13, left his home in the Scott Hill Acres area near Bellingham High School on Wednesday evening riding a bike.

Local police searched for Mahoney for much of the day on Thursday. The search included a helicopter and K9s near Easy Street and Douglas Drive. Bellingham police reported his return around 8 p.m. Thursday.

"We are very happy to report that Asher has been located and is safe. We would like to thank the numerous agencies that assisted with this matter and we are glad that the best possible outcome was achieved," the department said on Facebook.
