Races Forming For Upcoming Milford Town Election
The deadline to return nomination papers is closing in soon and several races have popped up in the upcoming election.

MILFORD, MA- With 18 open positions up for this year's town election, the deadline to return nomination papers is less than a week away and the last day to pick up nomination papers is Friday.
Some races are emerging for Board of Selectmen, School Committee, Board of Library Trustees, Planning Board and Housing Authority.
Local attorney Ami Clifford is challenging incumbent Michael Walsh in the race for Board of Selectmen. Walsh is currently the Chair for the Board and pulled papers early in January, returning them on Monday. Clifford pulled nomination papers last week and has yet to return them.

Three new challengers for a seat on the town's School Committee returned nomination papers before the end of January: Tarik Miranda, R.J. Sheedy and Michael Visconti Jr.
Three other School Committee candidates pulled nomination papers but have not yet returned them, including incumbent James Ligor and newbies Justin John Dulak and John Erickson.

Out of the three candidates who pulled nomination papers for Board of Library Trustees, Stephanie Abisla, Margaret Myatt and David Probert, only Myatt has returned papers.
So far there are only two people looking to snag the lone planning board seat: incumbent Joseph Calagione II, who returned his papers late last month, and John DePaolo who has not returned paperwork.
Local, Kristin Nogler is challenging Housing Authority incumbent Loriann Braza for her seat- Braza has returned her paperwork but Nogler has not yet.
