Remembering Milford's 9-11 Victim

This Tuesday marks the 17th anniversary of the 9-11 tragedy.

MILFORD, MA—We all remember where we were when it happened, and Tuesday marks the 17th anniversary of the tragedy that shook the nation. Around the country, many will gather to honor and remember the victims of the 9-11 attack, which occurred on Sept. 11 of 2001. More than 3,000 people lost their lives that day.

Milford lost one of its own in the attack:

Herbert Homer, 48, from Milford, was a defense corporate executive with the Defense Contract Management Agency/Raytheon. He was on US flight 175.

According to a tribute on Legacy/The Boston Globe, Homer was born in Everett and raised in Framingham. He was an avid traveler and left behind a wife, his parents and a brother.
