Rosa's Villa, Zen Bakery, Turtle Tavern: Milford's Health Inspections

MILFORD, MA—The following inspections were supplied by the Milford Board of Health:

• Dollar Tree 146 S. Main St. 2-23-17 No violations here.
• Dollar Tree 122 Medway Rd. 2-17-17 No violations here.
• Dollar General 161 E. Main St. 2-17-17 Men’s room needs attention (cleaning).
• Milford Food Pantry 21 Exchange St. No Violations here.
• The Exotic Foods 53 Sumner St. 2-23-17 No violations here.
• Thai Pepper 178 E. Main St. 2-14-17 Clean the flat surface area around the wok station, concrete wall and piping, time to change the oil in the fryers, clean the floor around the hot water tank and small chest freezer, and clean and disinfect the toilet and sink in the employees restroom.
• Zen Bakery 146 A South Main St. 2-14-17 Violations here include the following. Ceiling tiles throughout where damaged or stained or missing need to be replaced, sheet rock wall where needed need proper repair, pay particular attention to floor areas near baseboards corners edges around and under equipment, and replace the hand sink that used to be in the gluten free area.
• Dunkin Donuts 13 Medway Rd. 2-14-17 Violations here include the following. One box of food left on the floor in the walk in freezer, need paper towel for the hand sink at the back area kitchen, clean surface area under the coffee service areas more to the back wall, and when wet mopping floors be sure to get in the back corners or floor where due to design of store it may be difficult.
• Turtle Tavern 72 Main St. 2-13-17 Clean the floor and matts inside the walk in cooler, clean or replace the plastic 4 draw storage unit on top of the counter work area by the hand sink, clean the interior base of the left side oven the one that is used.
• The Crystal Room 49 Cedar St. 2-13-17 Violations here include the following. Walk in freezer needs greater care with food storage, clean the interior base of the top Blodgett convection oven, ice scoop is to be stored in a safe sanitary method for the upstairs bar area.
• Rosa’s Villa 189 West St. 2-10-17 Do not store the cutting board on the floor clean it and sanitize before it is used again, clean and sanitize the dough hook before you store it away, and three people working with food one has a hat on.
• Ray and Dicks Bakery 20 Exchange St. 2-10-17 Cover brownies and pastries in the three door Foster unit, clean and sanitize the manual can opener, employee restroom need cleaning and disinfecting, and food racks in the walk in freezer need at least three sided sleeves.
