Milford’s Town Election day is almost here and the School Committee race is heating up! School Committee members are the governing board for Milford Public Schools. They are a critical part of our success as a school district, determining policy, holding administrators and educators accountable for enacting plans to ensure the success of our students, and holding themselves accountable for the overall success of our school district.
This year there are three available spots on School Committee, which is a board of 7, and no incumbents running for the open spots.
I am Sara Howe and I am running for School Committee. I am passionate about our town and all the possibilities for our schools. I want to bring my professional experience and enthusiasm to the School Committee in order to advance our schools and ensure we are a destination for education. My priorities include:

- Advancing Milford’s academic success by ensuring we are offering comprehensive programs and services to all students at all grade levels – evaluating what is working and what is not and ensuring a clear go forward path.
- Continuing to advocate for development of social and emotional learning programs to ensure students are developing skills like project management, communication, collaboration, and increasing their capacity for empathy and kindness.
- Building our reputation and highlighting all Milford Public Schools have to offer, ensuring we are offering the best programs with the highest impact for our students.
Please don’t forget to head to the polls on Tuesday, April 3rd, and I respectfully ask you to cast one of your votes for Sara Howe.
Thank you Milford!
