Selectman Candidate Targets Board On Immigrant Community, Opioids
A challenger for the Board of Selectmen position accused Chairman Walsh and the board of not supporting Milford's immigrant community.
MILFORD, MA- Things heated up at a candidates forum at Milford High School on Thursday, when one of the candidates for selectmen accused Chairman Michael Walsh and the board as a whole of not supporting the town's immigrant community and not doing enough about the opioid crisis.
According to the Milford Daily News, Ami Clifford, challenger for the Board of Selectmen position, said Chairman Walsh and the board do not express grace when talking about the immigrant community. She suggested a strategic plan that would value the input of all of the towns residents.
Clifford also criticized the board for not doing enough about the opioid epidemic.

Chairman Walsh, the incumbent in the race, told the Daily News Clifford's comments about the immigrant community were "out of line."
