Some Without Water, Low Pressure, During Pipe Repair in Milford

Workers dug on pulling out a pipe in the Purchase Street neighborhood on Monday afternoon.

MILFORD, MA—After a water main break on Monday, roughly 50-60 homes in the Purchase, Pearl and State street neighborhood were without water while the pipe was repaired, said officials from the Milford Water Company.

The company said it would work into the night to dig up the pipe, replace what was needed, and then fill the trench for the road to be repaved.

"If you are not affected by the shut-down, please be sure to run one cold water faucet only preferably from your kitchen for no more than 5 minutes to see if the water runs clear," said the Water Company." If it is still not running clear in your area, please refrain from using hot water until your cold water runs clean.
