Special Town Meeting Members Approve Purchase Of Milford Water Company
Voters overwhelmingly said yes to purchasing the Milford Water Company.

MILFORD, MA—Special Town Meeting voters gave a big thumbs up on Tuesday night to approve the purchase of the Milford Water Company, voting 151 to 20 on Article 1 at Special Town Meeting, according to reports.
The town's finance committee last week wrote a letter urging voters to purchase the company, arguing that it would be significantly beneficial to the town, and would be funded through a 30-year-bond paid by water rates. At the end of those 30 years, the town would fully own the water company.
Town Meeting members also approved six other articles related to the purchase of the Milford Water Company, reports Milford Daily News.
