Summer Reading Materials to be Distributed This Week

The program is a requirement of the Milford Public Schools.

From the Milford Public Schools:

The Milford Public Schools Summer Reading Committee will be distributing summer reading materials this week at all district schools. Milford Public School students, grades PreK-12, are required to participate in the summer reading program. Students in grades PreK-4 will read books of their own choosing. In addition to the mandated books, students in grades 5-12 are encouraged to read books that appeal to them and suit their own personal interests, increasing the likelihood that they will genuinely enjoy their reading experience. In keeping with the Community Handshake initiative, the Milford Town Library and the Milford Public Schools continue to collaborate in an effort to provide students with a positive summer reading experience. The town library has many of the recommended titles available for students to borrow, as well as sponsoring their own summer reading program, filled with lots of wonderful reading suggestions plus many fun activities.

In addition to students receiving Summer Reading materials in school, Summer Reading brochures and assignments can be found at the following locations beginning in June:
