Tour the New State-of-the-Art Woodland Elementary School
There is a dedication ceremony for the school this weekend.

MILFORD, MA—Milford Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kevin McIntyre welcomes the Milford community to a Dedication Ceremony for the district’s newest elementary school to be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. in the Woodland Elementary cafeteria.
The Woodland Dedication Ceremony program highlights a welcome address from the School Building Chairman and Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Aldo Cecci, as well as remarks from Laura Warnick of HMFH Architects, Woodland Principal Tim Kearnan, Milford Selectman Bill Buckley, Dr. Kevin McIntyre and Mr. Jack McCarthy, Executive Director of the Massachusetts School Building Authority.
Other state and local officials will also be in attendance including Milford School Committee Chairman Mr. Michael Walsh, State Representative John Fernandes and State Senator Ryan Fattman. The ceremony will include Woodland third, fourth and fifth grade students who will be leading the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the school song. The Milford High School Music Department also be perform before, during and after the ceremony.

Due to the ongoing construction at the Woodland property, there will be a shuttle bus to and from the front entrance at Milford High School beginning at 12:30 p.m. All attending guests are asked to park at MHS and ride the shuttle to Woodland Elementary. The event concludes with guided tours of the new building prior to guests boarding the shuttle bus back to MHS.
