Tow Truck Crash In Milford Leads To Arrest And Drug Charges
During a pat-down of the driver and his belongings, state troopers found drugs inside a backpack.

MILFORD, MA- What began as an early morning call for a disabled tow truck on I-495 ended in an arrest and the driver facing drug charges.
State troopers responded to a call early Friday morning about a single vehicle crash on I-495 North in Milford. They found a tow truck in the median against a tree and pried open the driver’s side door to free the driver, 41-year-old Shawn Mckay.
Mckay, of Suncook, New Hampshire, was not injured and refused medical treatment by Milford EMS. The state trooper on scene offered Mckay a seat in her car while they waited since it was cold outside.

As part of safety procedure the trooper patted down Mckay and his belongings only to find methamphetamine in his backpack. He was arrested and faces drug possession charges.
The left travel lane of I-495 North was closed for about an hour and a half while crews removed the truck.
