Two Youths Arrested In Milford Over Stolen Car, Forgery, Weapons

A Milford officer spotted the pair early Monday morning at a local gas station.

MILFORD, MA — A Milford officer arrested two juveniles this week after catching them with a stolen car hijacked with a USB device.

The officer spotted the two minors around 2:30 a.m. along Main Street at Sam's Energy, which is about two blocks south of police headquarters. The officer discovered that the vehicle they were with had been reported stolen after checking the VIN.

The officer discovered a USB device in the ignition of the car. Thieves nationwide have been able to use the devices to steal Kia and Hyundai brand cars due to a vulnerability in their ignition systems.
