Vehicle Strikes Utility Pole, Closes Downtown Milford Roads

MILFORD, MA — A vehicle struck a utility pole Monday, causing road closures and significant traffic delays in downtown Milford.

The crash affected the area around Main, School, Jefferson and Pine streets as of 12 p.m., according to Milford police. Police announced closures at Main and Spruce streets, Main and School streets and Spruce and School streets.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and use caution near the crash scene. Police did not immediately respond to requests for information about injuries or an estimate of when the roads would reopen.
