August has arrived, which means the start of a new school year in Milford is just on the horizon.
To get ahead of the game, school officials are set to offer an orientation for incoming freshmen at Milford High School this month.

The Milford High School Freshman Orientation Program will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14. Attending students should enter the building through the doors by the cafeteria, and email scedrone@milfordma.com to confirm attendance.
Included in the orientation will be tours of Milford High School; students will receive homeroom assignments, lockers and schedules and freshman will learn about academics, clubs, sports and student activities.

The program, sponsored by MHS Peer Mentors, will also include a “freshman survival guide” quiz with prizes to be given out.
The first day of school in Milford for students in grades 1-12 is Tuesday, Aug. 26.
