Worcester Weather: Possible Severe Thunderstorms for Area
Grab your umbrella. Some much-needed rain, possibly of the heavy fashion, is in the forecast.

Much of Massachusetts has been a state of drought warning or alerts, and any precipitation is welcomed by us, and the earth underneath us.
Thursday's forecast is looking very rainy, continuing through the night with possible thunderstorms, but the good news is it's clearing up by the weekend.
A hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service for northern Connecticut, central, eastern and western Massachusetts warns of the potential for a few strong to severe thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon and evening. Strong winds are the main threat with any thunderstorm, said the NWS.
Here's the latest, per National Weather Service:
- Thursday: Isolated showers between 3-4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84.
- Thursday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.
- Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.
- Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.
- Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
- Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.
- Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
- Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.
