10 Dates You Need to Know on the Natick School Calendar

NATICK, MA — The 2016-2017 school year is almost here, and while students may be dreading it, the time has come to make preparations for the upcoming school year.

Students are due back in Natick schools on Wednesday, Aug. 31, for all grades. There is no school on Monday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day).

Here are ten other important dates on the Natick public schools calendar that you should be aware of during the first few months of the year.

1. Oct. 3: no school, Rosh Hashanah
2. Oct. 10: no school, Columbus Day
3. Oct. 12: no school, Yom Kippur
4. Oct. 18: early release day
5. Nov. 8: no school, technology day
6. Nov. 11: no school, Veterans' Day
7. Nov. 23: early release day
8. Nov. 24-25: Thanksgiving recess
9. Dec. 7: early release day
10. Dec. 26-30: holiday break
