Natick Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Injured Pedestrians

Two people were flown by helicopter to area hospitals after the Tuesday night incident in the downtown area.

NATICK, MA — Two people were seriously injured Tuesday night after a hit-and-run incident along Washington Avenue in the downtown area.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Summer Street and Washington Avenue. Natick police told WHDH that a truck drove up onto the sidewalk and hit the two pedestrians, and then drove off.

Natick police described the vehicle as a blue pickup truck driven by a woman, with two men inside.

The two people were taken by helicopter to Tufts Medical Center and UMass Memorial in Worcester, according to the fire department. The pedestrians were thrown into a fence, and at least one person was impaled.
