2020 Election: Natick Sees Voter Turnout Milestones

NATICK, MA — Natick voters set new records in 2020 compared to other recent presidential elections, including the highest turnout dating back to 2004, according to ballot data.
A total of 86.19 percent of Natick's 24,800 registered voters cast a ballot in the 2020 presidential election, beating the previous record set in the last election between Hillary Clinton and President Donald Trump.
Also in 2020, the share of votes for a Democratic presidential candidate was the highest since 2004 — and the lowest for a Republican candidate.

Between 2016 and 2020, the GOP share of votes for president in Natick shrank from 24.23 percent to about 22.88 percent, according to turnout data. That's a more than 10-point swing from 2004, when nearly 35 percent of Natick voters chose the GOP candidate.
On the other side, 74.72 percent of votes went to Biden — the first time a Democrat has earned three-quarters of the town's vote dating back to 2004. The Democratic trough was seen in 2012, when only 61.94 percent of the vote went to Barack Obama.
