AFC Urgent Care In Natick Reopens Coronavirus Testing Site
The local urgent care center had been closed since March 8, but has re-opened and is testing patients who display coronavirus symptoms.
NATICK, MA — The American Family Care Urgent Care in Natick reopened on Wednesday and will continue to screen patients for coronavirus after the clinic closed temporarily last month. The clinic, located on Route 9, had been shut down since March 18 in order to allow staff to consolidate supplies at its location on Marlborough.
As of Wednesday, both sites are again testing people who demonstrate symptoms of coronavirus and with respiratory-related issues that could be considered related to coronavirus. While the sites are not drive-thru coronavirus testing sites, patients who believe they are experiencing symptoms for the virus must go through a health screening with an urgent care physician by video conference. Those are indeed symptomatic will be tested for the virus in the parking lot on-site, Bing Yeo, the owner of the Natick clinic, said on Wednesday.
Health consultations in Natick and Marlborough are offered from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m-5 p.m. on weekends. Coronavirus testing is being offered from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
