NATICK, MA — Drivers traveling west on Route 9 in Natick should expect delays Thursday as crews remove a tree near the Cochituate Rail Trail.
The work is scheduled for May 21 between Route 27 and the trail, adjacent to 959 Worcester St., according to a public notice. Officials said the tree removal is necessary due to ongoing construction in the area, including sidewalk improvements that are planned.
Crews will be working at the site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and one lane of westbound Route 9 will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon.
The town urged motorists to use caution, expect delays and follow traffic signs while traveling through the work zone.
