Learn How To Spot Scams, Avoid Becoming A Victim: Natick Police

The public discussion will include tips to help recognize various kinds of fraud, including phone and online scams.

NATICK, MA — The Natick Police Department will host a free workshop next week to help residents recognize and avoid scams that are growing more common in the community.

The Scam and Fraud Awareness Workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, at 10 a.m., at the department headquarters, 20 East Central St.

Police will discuss current trends in fraud, then offer practical tips people can use to spot it and reduce the chance of becoming a victim.

Among the topics: phone scams, online scams, financial fraud, cryptocurrency-related scams, impersonation scams and other emerging threats.

Police said additional workshop dates and times will be offered in the future.
