NATICK, MA — After pushing back its debut several times, a high-end Asian-goods supermarket may soon open its doors at the Natick Mall.
T Market originally planned to launch its first U.S. store by the end of 2025 in space formerly occupied by a Wegman’s supermarket on the second floor of the mall.
In January, T Market said the opening would be in late April or early May. A month ago, the store predicted late May or early June, the Boston Globe reported.
Now the Natick newcomer plans to begin business "soon" over the summer, according to its website.
T Market will fill about 75,000 square feet in the larger Wegman's space. That chain opened the Natick Mall branch in 2018 and shuttered it five years later. The site has been vacant ever since.
T Market has said it will offer a mix of Asian meats, seafood, produce, pantry staples, ready-to-eat meals and street food. The Natick store will be open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
