Another Great Team Effort on Coolidge Hill
Saturday, 11/15, a group of relentless volunteers braved chilly weather and went to work on Natick's only little "Bald Top."

Sat., 11/15, a group of dedicated volunteers worked hard (mostly on their hands and knees) picking up broken glass fragments and other trash from Coolidge Hill (Natick’s only little “Bald Top”). The summit and side trails have never looked better. After decades of neglect and abuse, this Jewel in Natick’s “Environmental Crown” has been restored for all to appreciate and enjoy. Over the past five years we’ve conducted 15 Big Sweeps. The area is 95% trash and glass free. We even took a few minutes to gather together in a circle and share poems, prayers, and reflections. Kristina Keefe-Perry shared a wonderful Chinook Prayer and Betsy Johnson read an inspirational piece from Wendell Berry. Clearly a great blessing for the hilltop. Congratulations to this crew and all the folks who have helped in the last few years. You might want to get up there and take a look for yourself. You’ll be glad you did. --pat
