Authorizations for Fifth Middlesex District in House Bond Bill
Projects will invest in Local Information Technology Systems and Infrastructure

Boston – Today, Representative David Linsky (D-Natick), joined his colleagues in passing a $1.63 billion governmental infrastructure and information technology bond bill, H.4708, An Act financing the general governmental infrastructure of the Commonwealth. In addition to funding statewide initiatives, the bill includes specific authorizations for local information technology, governmental infrastructure, and capital projects.
“As our state and local governments continue to navigate these unprecedented times, these authorizations, once released, will go a long way in ensuring our communities, local and state governments, and school districts have the flexibility and support to provide the vital resources and services residents need,” said Rep. Linsky.
Included in the bond bill were specific authorizations for the Fifth Middlesex District to support local information technology updates and capital projects.
District:
· $15,000,000 for the design and construction of a regional justice center to be located in the jurisdiction of the Natick or Framingham District Courts, and to replace the current Framingham District Court Building
Town of Natick:
· $500,000 for an online permitting and licensing system
· $100,000 for upgrades to the water and sewer supervisory control and data acquisition system
· $200,000 for public safety scheduling and records management software
Town of Millis:
· $50,000 for an information technology mobility, resiliency, and efficiency project
The bill will now move over to the Senate for further deliberation.
