CA Technologies Employees Celebrate 6th Annual Green Weeks

'Going Green' and being environmentally responsible is no easy task -- it takes dedication, commitment and hard work to be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Inspiring environmental awareness and dedicating time to lend a helping hand is something that resonates well with the employees of CA Technologies. Last week, the Framingham office, shut down their computers and put their work on hold, to head out to Natick Community Organic Farm.

Founded in 1975, The Natick Community Organic Farm is a nonprofit, certified-organic farm with productive open space, farm products, and hands-on education for all ages. The farm is committed to methods that are ecologically healthy and sustainable, and places special emphasis on service to youth through year round classes, work-experience programs and volunteer opportunities for working the land.

Employees spent the morning "working the farm" including gardening, farming, feeding animals and cleaning up the grounds. This day on the farm was spent celebrating CA Technologies annual Green Weeks initative, where employees from other offices participated in volunteer activities across the U.S. including Atlanta, GA; Ewing, NJ; Islandia, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; and Tampa, FL.

Green Weeks is part of CA Technologies continued commitment to inspire environmental awareness. CA Technologies, senior director of Community Affairs, Erica Christensen said, "We are excited to once again support these environmentally focused projects and applaud our colleagues around the world who are taking time of their work day to give back." First launched in 2008, the
initiative has continued to grow, with more than 500 employees participating in
more than 40 volunteer activities in 2012.
