Caregiver Care, a program designed by Century Health Systems and the Natick Council on Aging, aims to serve family caregivers in the MetroWest area. It was designed to provide support and technical skills to individuals who provide care to a family member or friend without compensation. 

This program will be run by Jean Sniffin, RN, Community Health Nurse for the Natick VNA and Century Health Systems. A frequent speaker throughout MetroWest on a variety of health and safety issues, Jean also serves as Early Childcare Health Consultant for more than 20 daycare and nursery school programs, offering on-site education about pediatric health and safety issues.

In this presentation, Jean will discuss a variety of issues related to prevention. They include:

• Up-to-date adult vaccines for flu, pneumonia, TDap and more
• How to properly wash hands and use hand sanitizer
• Careful home cleaning

After the skill-building and education, lunch will be provided, and supportive discussion will be facilitated by Natick Human Services & Council on Aging clinical social worker, Christina Player.

The Caregiver Care Program is available through grants provided by the Tufts Health Plan Foundation.
