Roads and Railways: The Rte 135 Corridor
a unique environmental initiative involving two towns and a number of merchants and citizens in the "neighborhood."
Join us for a unique initiative involving two towns and a number of merchants and citizens in the "neighborhood." We've mobilized Framingham and Natick's DPWs and ConComs, the Framingham Downtown Renaissance Project, the MBTA, Tosti's Service Station, Roche Bros., MWRTA, and Rte 135 Dunkin Donuts. We have snack - refreshment stations at Tosti's and Roche Bros. The two groups will work the roadway and RR Corridor one coming east, the other west. Hope to get it about 95% "trash free" by about noon time, transforming one of the trashiest roadways and RR corridors in all of Metrowest into something that citizens can be proud of. If you'd like some more details, don't hesitate to call me (508-740-9949) or mail. In addition to the Dunkin Donut donations, we received water bottles from Walgreens, plus Home Depot donated trash bags, nifty nabbers, and gloves. We are collaborating with Tom Greeley (Green-up Framingham) who authored and coordinated The Green-up Framingham project for the past 18 years. --Pat
