How can the human heart remain alive in times of grief, violence and evil? A free three-hour workshop with Maureen Amelia Brodie and Eytan Bloch at Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick.
In moments of trauma, loss and crisis, prayers can seem powerless. Yet "Iron Swords Prayers," received in the midst of the October 7th war, offer an unexpected way of facing evil without being swallowed by it. They are not prayers of escape, but of transformation. They do not require agreement. They require honesty: a willingness to stand still in the presence of suffering and consider that even here, freedom has not vanished.
Maureen Amelia Brodie is a curative eurythmist, medical clown, storyteller and Enneagram Journey therapist. Eytan Bloch is a biographical counselor, Council facilitator and Focusing teacher. Together they have shared "Ripples of the Heart" for ten years through books, performances and workshop retreats.
Saturday, November 14, 3:00 to 6:30 PM (two sessions with a break), in the Moon Room (upstairs) at Common Street Spiritual Center, 13 Common St, Natick. Please enter through the School Street door. Free of charge. RSVPs are appreciated but not required, and everyone is welcome. More info and RSVP: https://commonstreet.org/event/iron-swords-prayers/
