Candidate Steps Into Open Natick Select Board Race
Kathryn Coughlin, a former Zoning Board of Appeals member, will run for one of two seats up in 2022.

NATICK, MA — With just a few weeks before the 2022 election filing period begins, Natick has its first candidate of the 2022 election cycle.
Former Zoning Board of Appeals member and Town Meeting member Kathryn Coughlin announced over the weekend she would run for a Select Board seat in the March 2022 election. Two Select Board seats are up next year, but incumbent Sue Salamoff is stepping down, leaving at least one open seat.
In an announcement, Coughlin, 56, highlighted her experience in local government, philanthropy and business — she formerly owned Sherborn Wine & Spirits.

Salamoff said she is not running for reelection in 2022 to allow other town residents to serve on Natick's main legislative board. Select Board member Rick Jennett is also up for reelection in 2022. The other three Select Board seats will not be up for reelection until 2023 and 2024.
