Concerns Raised Over Natick Superintendent Candidate

The scheduled vote for superintendent has drawn scrutiny that the search has not been wide enough.

The Natick School Committee's coming vote on a new superintendent could be contentious, with some former committee members speaking out against making the district's interim superintendent, Anna Nolin, the permanent leader. Nolin was appointed interim in March after the resignation of Peter Sanchioni.

A letter signed by four former committee members, published in the Nov. 9 edition of the Natick Bulletin and Tab, said they are unhappy that Nolin has no competition for the job.

In response to that letter, another group of former school committee members came to Nolin's defense, saying that Nolin's high marks in the last performance review proves her abilities.
